I'm not a huge fan of the "Pinku" movies but I've seen enough to know that there's very little plot and mostly just silly sex and nudity. Hey, I've sat through enough softcore Cinemax movies to be okay with that but… FILM #7 OF INGMAR'S CHALLENGE Surprisingly, this is not only not as pornographic as I had anticipated (a lot of the dirtier bits are blurred out), but it's also damn funny. The amount of fourth wall breaking and astonished reaction shots are just incredible. Had they cut out a long and pointless scene that occurred in the midsection of the film, this could have even been a 3. Despite being basically porn, I can envision a version of this film that could have been an even more successful comedy, perhaps with a better director at the helm. As it is, this isn't really a good film, but it's short and a lot of fun. was tempted to drop this one a point for the fogging, but then decided, that as this was, in the main, unnecessary, but included to make the action look more 'real', I can only applaud even more.

Where was I? Ah, yes, reviewing the most extraordinary 'pink' by the prolific and very likable. Yutaka Ikejima. This is a real tour de force with some truly jaw dropping action. The leading lady, who the director quite rightly, commends both for her astonishing performance, as she works her way, sexually, through a whole extended family, and for her very large breasts. This is sexy, with an enormous amount of sexual activity, funny, with some hilarious moments, and knowingly reflective of Japanese life and its outside influences. Apparently shot very cheaply and very quickly, this is, nevertheless, a very accomplished work, even getting away with some dialogue spoken to camera. Recent reviews Well, what do you say. Family entertainment that is strictly for those above 21, shall I say. One sick of a plot. Strictly 21+ because this is that kind of movie. Not for serious a watch. Kocak sih editannya. This film's bizarre plot caught my attention whilst having a browse in HMV's world cinema section one day and having now watched it, I've realised it is as bizarre as it sounds but not in a fun way. It has it's funny moments but not enough of them to keep it consistently entertaining. Instead it borders on boring and repetitive rather than crazy and over the top as the plot might make you think. That's pretty much all I have to say about this odd piece of Japanese film history. This is surprisingly funny for an erotic movie. I don't know if pinku movies is generally like that since this is my first Japanese pinku movie. Takashi (Naohiro Hirakawa) is at a company party when he meets two women but ends up going with Sakura (Reiko Yamaguchi) and marrying six months later. He seems to think all is great until he takes Sakura home to meet his family and soon she is sleeping with all of them. THE JAPANESE WIFE NEXT DOOR was recommended to me by a couple different people who called it one of the dirtiest, nastiest and outright strangest movies ever made.
